About

I live in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Horseback riding, fly fishing, camping, and riding the trails in the mountains gives me plenty of opportunity to explore the forests and discover new and unique scenery and events. I share my life with my two dogs, Bo and Annie, and my horse Babe.

Writing about the environment has always been a special interest of mine.  There exist so much in nature, to offer us, and yet many peo want to destroy this same natural environment. I write about the controversy, the indulgence for industry to make money at the expense of our environment, and especially inform the public about the options that do exist to not only allow businesses to thrive but improve the environment simultaneously.

As a Vietnam Veteran, 1971, I am also concerned about Veteran’s issues and especially government and industry’s relationships with Veterans. I’ve served on many positions within the VFW, and as District Service Officer, while representing Veterans at many different levels..

My hobbies over the past 40 years included restoring and mantaining of trucks, cars, and motorcycles. I’ve driven OTR and owned 18-wheelers over the years, and seen the sights in the U.S. Now it’s time to write about some of those experiences as well and some of the fantastic sports and quality cars and trucks around today.

Good work exposing the scheme that is BLM, a fraudulent elitist group who has deceived Americans for decades, and betrayed all of us and our mustangs and burros. The agency must be dissolved, now. They will never stop as the recent appointment of slaughter promoter Callie Hendrickson proves once again, special interest drive the agenda, not our concern nor the mustangs need for protection and fair management. BLM is a land management agency who lies, corrupts and spins the truth as they please. They pretend they care when in fact they turn around and do the opposite. When will Americans say ENOUGH is ENOUGH ?? Do we need a Wallstreet type of revolution ? This is about much more than wild horses, it is about our West, our heritage, our rights to protect the West for our future generations. We are financing this horrid abuse and exploitation. Gorey is a master at expressing lame embellished responses or usually has no comment at all. The lack of professionalism, ethics and integrity speaks volumes and BLM must go. They will never stop to defraud us, the horses and the Western range, unless their heads are chopped off, house cleaned and funding stopped. Period. Wake up Americans !

Together we can turn things around. We must have the will and the fortitude to do this, and the clarity of vision. Did you read my book The Wild Horse Conspiracy yet? It is available on http://www.amazon.com or through me. Sounds like you have a healthy lifestyle. I am on Coast to Coast 10-midnight tonight on the subject of my book. Best wishes, Craig

Thanks for keeping me up to date. Haven’t been able to do much myself, so when someone sends me news, I really appreciate it. I knew when I looked over some of their records last year on-line that nothing made sense about the number of horses they had and the number of horses they rounded-up vs. the number of horses in holding pens or put up for adoption. It just didn’t make sense. So, now, I thank you and congratulate you. I tried to send the BLM a letter and I got one of those form letters back which I sent another letter back and gave another lecture and facts and told them stop sending me form letters. They said all will be fixed when the Scientists complete their assessment. What? What has that got to do with them selling horses to kill buyers, allowing people to steal the horses and etc. What does a scientist have to do with it? Geez, I was so mad I could have had a stroke. That is why I am not doing this much any more. But, I appreciate your work very much. It takes a person who can think like a criminal who wants to hide what they are doing with horses and burros and where the $ goes; going over the accounting of the number gathered, payouts for each head of horse, and on and on. I would give me very bad health again. I am grateful to you. Thank you. jb (former WILD HORSE HUB CENTRAL CO-CREATOR and adm)

How the Department of the Interior Sold Out America’s Wild Horses
A federal judge in Wyoming is now reviewing a dubious agreement between local ranchers and the BLM that would eliminate millions of acres of wild horse habitat.

Do you own the rights to the photo of Jewel the mustang mare, and if so, may I reproduce it for two signs I am making for trying to educate people about the cruelty agains the wild horses when I am in NY at the film festival where the film about the Wildlife Services cruelty to wild animals will be shown on Sunday? If you don’t own the rights, do you know who does, or has permission been given to freely copy and use it? I would LOVE to make a few t-shirts with that photo – not for sale or personal gain, but for education and inviting questions. Any help you might give would be greatly appreciated.

No. The photo is unavailable for commercial use — the article can be used and shared, but also not for commercial use, other than reference to the article as a whole.

Hi John. Your life with Bo, Annie, & Babe sounds wonderful. Thank you for your service to our country-long over due by me to thank you. I believe, too, that our govt should do a lot more for Veterans. Just like the wildlife-our corrupt govt treats Veterans like shit. Thank you for the articles you write; sometimes I read them a couple of times. If I may ask; have you restored/maintained any Harley Davidson motorcycles?
